Eagles Rendezvous (ER) is a Bible study ministry of Eagles Communications that reaches out to Christians:

• Seeking to build a biblically sound foundation for spiritual experiences with the Lord.

• Serious about studying the Bible and exploring its relevance for contemporary life.

• Desiring to respond in obedience to God's Word within the context of Christian community.

A specific biblical book is studied in cycles, each cycle lasting six to seven weeks. Led by trained leaders of Eagles Communications, these studies are designed to be informal and interactive, with emphasis on the application of the biblical text to the pressing issues of life today.

Original study notes will guide group members through the process of understanding and applying the Bible. The biblical text will be examined inductively with the following questions addressed sequentially: "What does it say?", "What does it mean?" and "How does it apply to us now?"

The book of Judges is a confusing book that many Christians find hard to appreciate. That's not surprising since it includes stories of gang rape, a hero who frequents prostitutes, another who practices human sacrifice, a brother killing brother, an Israelite tribe annihilating a fellow tribe, etc! Yet in the midst of the absurdity, we find numerous accounts of God mightily saving Israel in the face of incredible odds, using these judges who were mostly not ideal role models. Despite the overwhelming darkness, God's light will not falter - eventually bringing hope to a lost world.

Eric Sung was saved by God's grace at the age of 16. As an Executive (Ministry) at Eagles Communications, he has started a marketplace ministry for young working adults called togather.sg. Eric is also involved in organizing events, preaching, and editorial duties at Eagles. Prior to fulltime ministry, he worked in Accounting and Human Resource. Eric worships with his wife Angeline and one year old son Nathan at The City Church. One of his passions is to bless others with what God has shown him through His perfect Word.
