Rhythm of Christmas

On December 18, 2009, over 140 people attended the Rhythm of Christmas held at the Tanglin Club. It was a time of celebration, as well as to remember that Christ came 2000 years ago in the form of a babe to save mankind. Hosts had brought family and friends to the comfortable and grand setting of the Churchill room to hear the Gospel of Christ. Decorated with Christmas decorations and built with solid wood, the Churchill Room gave us a feeling of being in a cozy home setting, celebrating Christmas with loved ones.

After close to an hour of buffet dinner (complete with turkey and ham!), guests were treated to the powerful vocal abilities of Juwita Suwito, the Malaysian singer, who belted out 7 songs that pointed the audience to God. Afterwards Michael Tan treated the audience to an entertaining message of why people need the Gospel. Summed up one guest, "Excellent message with great singing by Suwito. She sings with deep sincerity and Mike spoke with tremendous passion."

In all, 7 prayed to receive Christ, 23 rededicated their lives to Christ and 2 expressed interest in knowing more about God. "I really had a memorable time tonight," commented Mel, "I appreciate all your efforts. Thank you very much!"
